ABOUT HIM
Alix Ghanadpour is a world apart in contemporary painting.
Alix Ghanadpour est un cas à part dans la peinture contemporaine.
The painter uses all the singular elements of a Caravaggio, a Titiano or a Zurbaran that he adulates to the most point. He tranfers them on his paintings where the deviances are highlighted.
"L’Immortel", one of his iconoclastic composition, sings to us the little song of our time. The painting hits a sensitive issue: the pride of the national body is hurt. The unbearable image referes to the events that took place in Guantanamo...The mecanism of torture is subtly evoked.
The human comedy takes place in front of us, becoming a tragedy in the artist's eyes, and creates a feeling of uneasiness, mixed with a strange fascination.
Il faudra probablement attendre l’Apocalypse
